work experience

Friday:
Spent the morning in the Spanish primary school. Laura and I sat in on the first grade (6-7 years) English and science classes in the morning. Both were taught fully in English, with the occasional direction in Spanish. We were very surprised to find out how much they children knew! We definitely underestimated them, her we were thinking we'd teach them shapes and colours etc but actually they're having a whole lesson on water in English!!

I sat in on a kindergarten class (3 years) ¡qué mono! They did days of the week, numbers, food and opposites. Again mostly in English. They had a song for every topic and then Could sing pretty well in Inglés. Laura did not join me Because she hates kids (and she'll hate me for putting too now that) and wanted to sit in on the Spanish class.

The Spanish class was good but I prefer to see how the children are taught English, it's more interesting.

Grace&Laura :)
