Hello, Mr Perkins here.
It is with great relief that I can announce that after waiting for 3 days my luggage finally arrived on Saturday afternoon at my hosts' house. Just in time too, as I had just about exhausted my supply of spare clothes which I had to buy on Wednesday evening at the local Carrefour hypermarket. (Yes, that's a French store but they have them in Spain as well!)
The main relief is that I now have my laptop, which means that I can finally start sorting through the photos I have been taking and get some of them up on the blog! Photos coming soon...
It has also been a comfort (quite literally in this sense) to get things such as my toothbrush back, as although the replacement one I bought on Wednesday said SOFT on the packet, it did feel like something that had been designed to scrub the dirt off a set of alloy wheels.
We meet up with our students again tomorrow (Monday) morning and will be spending the day in Madrid which will include a trip to the Museo Reina Sofía.
